We visit some grace sites every year to pay respects to the dead.
The counselors are able to help arranged most of the necessities. The wake and funeral service is good.
Outside the plots are well cared for and stones in good overall condition.
When they stole my brothers bronze flower holder after Ike they told us there was nothing they could to replace it because it was vandalism. I never had money to replace it but since they gave me a little cheap replacement they don't care about being careful when they cut the grass. So its broken on one of the three sides.
Also my poor neighbors gravesite is being swallowed up and they don't do anything to fix it. It's been this way for years. I clean it a little when i come by. They treat you well when they want your money but once they have it they don't take care of you anymore.
Everyone was professional and sympathetic. They gave us time to grieve in between setting up the funeral when needed. Monica explained everything we could get or take out of the service. And helped us pick a few things when we weren't sure what we needed to do. We were treated with respect, and so was my uncle.
Recently, my grandmother passed away. Her arrangements were pre-planned and paid for so the conference with Adrian and Edwin was easy. Both men were so respectful and empathetic with our family. They answered and addressed EVERY question and concern we had with regards to our services and even random questions we had about the general process. Adrian made himself available every day leading up to the service and would respond to emails within minutes.
The day before the service, we went to see my grandmother to make sure she looked like herself. She did not. Adrian introduced us to Mia, the makeup artist, who spent over an hour making Nana look like herself. She even brought in someone else to work with us. They made us feel so special and genuinely cared for.
Even on the day of her service, Adrian, Edwin and Tiffany stayed with our family until the last family members left.
In short, Dignity treated us with so much love and respect. They were beyond attentive and would address hiccups the second they arose. Our family will be forever grateful for Adrian and the entire Dignity team.
My father was buried August 26. The grass that was placed on his grave died. The dead grass has sat on his grave for almost 4 months. His gravesite looked horrible and stood out like a sore thumb. The funeral home personal knew it looked like this. The people that placed his temporary marker knew it and the grounds keeper knew it. I had to remove it myself. Also after two months went by I had to call the funeral home about the temporary marker that was never placed. They reordered it when I inquired and told me it would be 3 weeks. Three weeks was October 20. I went to the gravesite no marker. I went to the funeral home to ask about my marker. The women working the front desk were not helpful and were too busy talking to each other to help me. Finally when I stood there long enough one of them asked what she could help me with. I told her the problem. Then I had to wait again, for her to find someone else to help me. While I was speaking to another person about my marker, I was informed it had arrived and the person who had it, was placing it. I have not had a good experience with the cemetery or funeral home. Once you pay for every thing, no one cares about good customer service. What can you do about it. Your loved one is buried there for eternity and you just have to deal with it.
Ashley is absolutely amazing! She is so thoughtful and kind. You can tell how committed she is to what she does.
Oscar is another great employee at this location. He does whatever he needs to keep everyone pleased.
These 2 never fail to impress me with their wonderful work ethic and their passion!
Forest Park Lawndale, Elsie Hernandez, and Adrian Martinez have exceeded our expectations on our recent funeral service. Elsie with our preplanning funeral arrangements and Adrian with our funeral service experience was so effortlessly …
